Clk dtm

Someone put a bid in for £440k , i dare you !

It won't hit reserve so you won't be liable.

Looks very nice in the video. The original ebay ad described the base car as a 2003 CLK320 with 130,000 miles, plus a body kit, wheels, brakes etc.
It also described it as a cat C - "but only because the Merc bumpers were over £8k each".
...Yet the complete extreme sports bodykit, including both bumpers, is only £3k on their website?
So there's been some sort of insurance claim for geniune MB parts?
And the seller was suggesting it could be insured cheaply as a kit car?
And he's now wondering why potential buyers might think all is not completely straight in his world?
Could well be a nice car, but you need people to trust you in this world.

Would that not cost you a whole ****load of money for the listing fee and buy it now fee ?

They aren't refundable AFAIK

It helps if you look up the original ad - use advanced search, completed listings, for CLK DTM. There's some interestng Q&As too.
It sold yesterday after 12 bids for £9,900. Looks like the winning bidder was silly and didn't go and look at it, then got cold feet and backed out, quoting horror stories about cat Cs and kit cars.
As ever, view before you buy - and if you don't know what you're looking at, take someone who does.

Good point about the seller's fees though - that might sting a bit!

Unless you get a fake buyer to shill bid, then both mutually agree not to proceed with the transaction so the seller can claim the fees back...

funny that, the car is owned by a mate of a mate of mine, this car was one of the ones i quoted on the thread the other day titled 'would you buy a sl65amg black or clk dtm kit car'

fyi, it was a cat c when he brought it because both the original merc bumpers were damaged which would have cost 8 grand to replace, and it was written off.

he fitted the clk dtm kit instead.

the porsche kit car he owned before was also amazing. i will try to get a pic of it.

to explain the weird ad, the the potential customer rang extream cars after placing a bid, and the w%^k*r guy at extreame cars bumped him by telling the bidder that the car was a right off, he then sold the potential buyer a kit.

this guy will be back in about 6 months with a sl65 amg black series kit.

look at the brakes on the clk, they are not real, they are covers, but i bet none of you would be able to tell unless you got on your hands and knees and crawled underneath, a bit simerler to checking if a stationary car is front or rear wheel dirve, actually, in a simerler way to the engine cover fitted to the peugot 406 kit that does look exactly like a real 360, wich some of you questioned in the other thread...

cheers man,

he has a habit of adding extra 00's on the end of prices:

"Wayne Rooney`s DTM sold for around £165,000,00.00"

"Extreme sold this car last year for £30,000,00.00"

muppet.

i think 12000 would take it, probably, any serious enquires should be done on 07708948229

careful who you call a Muppet, they may take offence, or a post!

edit
