Hi my clk 270 has been off road for 7 months and now headlights won't come on and wipers won't work

It might be an obvious question but you do have a fully charged battery fitted to the car?

Any sign of damage to wiring looms? Mice do love to nest and chew wiring!

Hi yeh the battery is fully charged and the headlights are on low beam but high won't work and front indicators don't work and horn won't work and bulb fault indicator is on dash but replaced bulbs and no joy, any ideas?

can any one help :)

Was the car indoors or outside for the 7 months?
Was the battery in the car all the time and was it on a charger?
What year is the car?

Hi yeh car in very clean dry garage and battery was disconnected and tried to jump after work then got new battery ?

The jump start probably caused all the problems.
Needs to go on STAR I think.

Sounds like a fried front sam to me. :/
Can the Sam be replaced ? And what and where is it ? And the car was jumped properly so I'm not sure . I'm exchanging battery for another new one and then see what happens next ,
Does the Sam control lights wipers etc ?

The sam can be replaced bit may need coding.
Best to get star on it to confirm the diagnosis

Hi, had a similar problem on a w208 c230 afer replacing the high beam bulbs with 100w ones. Initially the flashing headlamps played up, then during a service at Autotechnic, the rest failed, indicators, wipers, the lot. Very alarming! Turned out to be a blown fuse, probably caused by the extra demand. Needless to say I refitted 55w h7s to the high beam. Maybe worth a look at your fuses.

Headlights aren't fused on a 209
