CLK vibration on braking....

CLK 230 Kompressor
Hi - we recently purchased a CLK 230 Kompressor, in superb condition, so very pleased!! :-)

Drove it to Spain and noticed some vibration under braking - had it checked and although discs and pads had been replaced about a year ago and the car had done less than 3k since, the discs were slightly warped, so had new DISCS fitted.

After a brief period of driving without any vibration, once again, there is some under braking - should I have had the pads done at the same time?

I am happy to do so now, but wondered if there might be another cause of this irritation?

Many thanks

It is wise to change pads at the same time as discs, also, if the hub face was not thoroughly cleaned before fitting the new discs this can cause runout and hence vibration under braking.

There are other reasons for vibration under braking, a buckled wheel, out of round tyre, worn suspension bushes particularly in the control arms.

Many thanks DSM10000, plenty to chose from there - hopefully, a change of Pads will do the trick.....so hint of vibration during normal driving, thankfully!

If you are changing the pads then I would take off the discs and ensure that the disc / hub interface is clean and flat.
