Clk200k to clk500 engine swap

Im looking for some information on an engine swap I planning on I have just bought a running and driving w209 clk500 on a cat c, I plan on taking engine, transmission, rear axle,wiring etc and putting in to my clk200 convertible w209

I am after some info mainly to do with the key will the engine start with my key or if not can I have it coded to the new engine any information the above would be great

Worries me already that you're thinking of bringing over all the bits that will make it go faster - not one mention of uprating the things that make it slow down again.... hmmmm

My concern would be more the braking and suspension !!!!! Lot heavy engine and gearbox , so suspension needs upgrading , then 3 times more performance so brakes would most certainly need upgrading , then there's the exhaust system , and then all the other body control modules which will be needed to keep the engine system right ,,,, be a total headache , be cheaper buying a decent 500 instead ,,,

Your cab looks nice mate. What I would personally do is il buy a 500 and swap what you want of your car to the 500. You will need hell of a lot of work to do the conversion
