Clk280 w209 2009 stereo upgrade ideas

Hi all I’m new to the group and I’m looking at ideas to upgrade my Mercedes command head unit to a modern stereo that supports all the usual technology that also connects to iPhones. It appears that it’s a bit of a mine field choosing a quality stereo that will be compatible with the car and that all the steering wheel buttons and stuff still work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance.

Depends on your budget
If you have a few quid, talk to Comand On Line nearby (ish) in Lighwater for a proper (Panasonic or the like) Android HU that looks OEM
Cheaper but a little more hit and miss is an eBay Chinese Android HU
Cheaper still is putting a BT adapter onto the line in inside your glovebox (seriously though, who keeps, primarily, gloves in there?) and / or have a BT puck in the armrest for calls.
