CLK320 W208
Hi,

Noob here, thanks for having me!

I have just checked the fitting chart from the sticky in this forum:thumb: and It appears all is well but I have a few questions?

Yesterday I bought a 2000 reg CLK320 with the photographed 18" AMG alloys fitted. Sorry about the photo it's getting dark!

Both front and rear are fitted with 225/40ZR/18 tyres, according to the fitting chart this is ok but the rear could have 255s on them.

Does this mean these alloys are capable of carrying 225s or 255s or are there specific rims for front and back?

One of the fronts is wearing unevenly so I thought I would fit the good backs to the front and then get some 255s fitted to the front rims for the rear. I then intend to get the car 3d alligned at the place that did my 190.

Hope this makes sense and someone can tell me the plan isn't flawed?

Cheers

Talking to my self, 1st sign of madness:D

So the wheels are differant widths, just need to get the right spacers if I fit 255s to the rear.

They dont look like genuine wheels so anything that you have read in the book or charts is not applicable.

More photos, sorry it's either dark or glaring sun!

Its difficult to see in the picture but the centre cap looks non MB?

The only way to check for sure is to see the markings on the inside... If you want to use 255 tyres then your rear wheels need to be the 8.5J ET30 as per the alloywheelsdirect website.

Thanks, I will do some more investigating and speak to alloy wheels direct.

One more question, are there spacers that are fitted to give the correct offset or is it incorporated into the design of the wheel?
