Hi guys
Having a strange problem on my car recently changed all upper and lower supension arms and all was nice and good
Then took it in for welding on sills car was stationery for few days when picked it up noticed a strange noise from nearside front wheel on a full lock to the right no noise on a full lock to the left thou
Being driving for a few days got better now but sometimes starts playing up againg specialy in the morning when its cold
Anyone has ever had this kind of problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

I have exactly the same problem, it feels as if the passenger side front wheel is sliding forwards instead of rolling through the turn... only happens at low speeds pulling away... have read a few posts here and there of similar issues, and think it should just be a case of having the wheel alignments set up properly, but haven't had time to get this done yet myself..

hopefully someone else can chime in?

My friend had a similar issue to you in his CLK320 (lowered on Eibach's).

It turned out to be his alignment.

My 55 has now developed a similar issue and it also makes a slight knocking noise. Will have the alignment done once my springs are fitted to see if it sorts it.

Astamir, anymore shots of your CLK??

have read that this is quite a common problem on clk's, checked my tyres this morning, and the inner edge on the nearside is getting bald, so i'm guessing cars in need of an alignment + camber adjustment

have also read people have simply changed their tyres, i have michelin potenzas on the front, which is the same as the other post i read, guy changed to pirelli p zero's which cured it (but guessing that is treating the sympton with grippier rubber, rather than the cause which is poor alignmnet/camber settings)

Hi guys and thanks for the replies
Really can't thank you enough for the help u giving out here
Been to a local merc specialist and they just guessed I think and have me a big list from wheel bearings to stub axles
As u said here it looks like the alignment problem
Ill sort out my front shock absorbers and will do the alignment and will update you here guys
Thanks
