CLK55 Wires Behind Bumper

I had my car on a jack earlier and noticed some wires plugged into what look like square/rectangle boxes under the bumper. They seem to be just sitting there rather than attached although the wires do have a cable clip on them. There are 2 boxes left and right(Not near exhaust) does anyone know what these are? Or could be(I don't have parking sensors)

not in the rear! distronic has a sensor in the front...

If they are about 4" by 4" they are antenna (for phone I think) and they are meant to be clipped into the bumper (I think to the brackets, but it is years since I put them on my SL)

That makes sense. Next time I have it in the air I'll ask for them to be attached to the bumper properly
