Car
2013 CLS 350 CDI. Tenorite grey.
Going to get my car (CLS 350 CDI 2013 265 BHP) remapped on Saturday and would like some advice as to whether it would be worth my while to go for the the EGR software delete at the same time ? Not going down the DPF delete route as I've had issues there before.
Only do about 8000 a year and it's mainly shortish journeys
Thanks in advance

why have a diesel when you only do low mileage? this with short trips could lead to problems with your dpf

There are hardly any used W218 petrols for sale in the UK. Those that do come up tend to be priced about 5k over the diesels.

There are exactly 0 W218 estates/ shooting brakes for sale in petrol guise as these were not offered at all in the UK.

The 63 of course being the exception.

Not if you run it on decent fuel ie V-Power, run it on crap from Asda and you probably will.

Good point , i have been running my CLS on the above with no DPF issues during the last three years. Five miles a day 2.5 miles too work and the same on the way home. Currently averaging 150 miles a month , if i had known how little use the car would be getting then i would have bought a CLS63.

I'm not getting into a petrol vs diesel debate CLK 208.These big diesel engines pull like a train. This car is 0/60 in just over six seconds.Had a CLS for 12 months previously and never had an issue with the DPF.
