Cls acceleration problem

58 320cdi cls (facelift model)
As I pulled out of my drive and accelerated the car started shuddering as if it had air in the fuel, the resurve light was on but still had 50 miles or so in the range, so I filled up at the nearest garage but every few miles if u floor it it will shudder still also NO warning lights have came on, any help would be much appreciated, I only got the car 2 days ago

Private purchase or dealer? If dealer...take it back and have them fix it. If private...could be a MAF.

Could be the actuator, blocked fuel filter or the 7g valvebody/plate problem or inlet shut off valve...

Get it on Star.

It was dealer, but not merc, just a trader from auto trader, will call him, are these problems common and are they expensive to cure, thanks for the info by the way

As it's a dealer they should diagnose & repair the fault (which could be a number of things).

It could be sucking air due to a loose pipe clip or may have a blocked filter.

It doesn't do it all the time, it's done it about 3 or 4 times in about 25 miles, but has been ok for the last 15 miles or so, when it first happened the fuel level was low, could it of sucked air or debris up from the tank
