CLS Brakes

Picked up a 2013 plate CLS 250 CDI AMG last week.

The brakes are IMO awful, feel very soft to me, i have to really stomp on the brake pedal to see any kind of urgent braking. I didn't expect this given this model is supposed to have the better "sports braking system". Appreciate its a big lump of a car perhaps that's a factor. Also my prior car was a Skoda Octavia VRS estate which had very sharp brakes....

Front and rear pads were replaced in April prior to resale according to the dealer, i have a copy of the receipt for that work.

Can anyone else offer their experience of the brakes on this model? sharp or soft?

Hi,
I have a 350 SB AMG sport trim and the brakes are more than adequate, it really out brakes many other cars that are half the weight.

Take it back and test drive another one for comparison?

Might be the answer, I drove a VW for a few weeks and the brakes were very sharp.
