Cls painf code location

Hi,
I have a CLS in black, where will I find the location of the paint code please?

Can I identify the paint colour by the chassis number?

VIN will give the code. It's also on the VIN plate on the slam panel and/or B pillar door shut

Is there a resource on line where I can input my vin and it will tell me the paint code?

It should say around the bonnet area, either on the plate on the slam panel or above on the bonnet itself. look for "Zucker" and a 3 digit code.
