Cls63 amg

Financial sense rarely comes into it when buying a car like this. If I can afford it and I like the car, then I will get it :)

You pays your money & you takes your choice;),did you have the test drive over the weekend?

Exactly pal!!

The adverse weather conditions unfortunately put paid to any test drive last weekend :(

New slot booked for next weekend at Mercedes Benz world ... cannot wait.

I think this is the car for me but just waiting for the test drive.

Brooklands is my local mb dealership, the track there is great if you get a chance(amg experience for an hour perhaps?) otherwise enjoy the test drive & don't forget the pics when you get the car;)

I am indeed doing the AMG experience in the CLS63 for an hour :)

My business partner has run a CLS63, no PPP or LSD from new for the last few months.

You will love it regardless, it's a riot of a car with a lot more low end grunt from the turbos than mine has got which is where the fun is to be had in the real world. That said, when you do get a chance to stretch it's legs it pulls hard all the way through to silly speeds and is suprisingly agile for a relatively large car which is well sprung for daily use; we held off a Cayman R on a hard drive back from Thruxton last month much to our amusement once we'd peeled ourselves off the side windows! There's a noticable difference between the three gearbox modes prior to manual so make sure you try each of these on your run out at the weekend as they all alter the manner of the car (all good). The skid pan is a hoot as well.
As said, you will love it! Enjoy.

Edd - that's really helpful feedback.

The kid inside says get the PPP and LSD but my wallet says I'll be fine without. I think I will stick with the standard AMG albeit with optional AMG ride control performance suspension ...

^That would be a wise choice imho(unless you are doing track days the ppp/lsd would be an expensive gimmick).

Not long to go until the MB World test drive ... Am itching to get behind the wheel and also to see one in the flesh ...

Very interested to hear how you get on chap, sneak some cheeky piccies?

Ended up having an amazing AMG experience session with the CLS63. The hour flew by.

Awesome car and I am totally smitten :) Will sort out details with the dealer tomorrow!

One final question - am I right in thinking that there is no keyless go equivalent for the CLS63?

Didnt manage to get any pics unfortunately ... too busy driving :)

^Told you you would be;),afaik keyless go is an optional extra, don't forget the pics:thumb:

I cannot seem to find the keyless go anywhere in the CLS brochure or price list ... most curious ...

Although Keyless Go was an option on the last generation E-Class, it was dropped from the current model - don't know why. As the CLS is based on the E, I would not be surprised of Keyless Go is not an available option anymore.

Seems like it is not available in the UK either as a standard fit or as an option

Clearly not a deal killer but just strange it isnt offered

Have settled on a colour - Tenorite Grey

Keyless go is available in the states as well. Also available on the c63 over there but for some reason not here. I am wondering whether there have been some insurance issues with it.

Yes that's true, my cousin just ordered a C63 Coupe and he also confirmed Keyless Go was not an available option.
