charliegeorge - thanks for the comprehensive answer re: keyless go. I am about to order my car but could wait for delivery post 1 June 2012 in order to get this feature (which I agree is a strange omission given the calibre of the car). Do all Mercedes dealers understand this issue and the timing?

Very late response - sorry. I suspect many if most MB dealers are not up to speed on this. David Gregory (Sales) at MB World Brooklands is as are HO at Milton Keynes.

From what we were told on the C-Class launch the reason that keyless go is not offered on a lot of MB models in the UK is due to the thatcham insurance group/security ratings. The reason for the delay might be a development in either the system itself or the thatcham parameters?

Keyless Go now available on the price list at £930

Sorry - car arrived on July 4 but then I immediately went on holiday ...

I will post some pictures this weekend once I have taken some and also once I have worked out how to post photos on the forum

I noticed that the Keyless Go option was now available but to be honest I have not found any issues with the standard arrangement. I think this was an option I was used to on other cars I owned, as it was standard, without ever considering if it was actually needed!!
