cold start

Please tell me wat ive not done. mercedes 1998 320 ml .the car is a nightmare on cold starts, it runs eventully, when it starts after about 30 cranks, today on the first crank i inspected pressure, there was pressure there with fuel,
i disconected the fuel line, from the filter, and on 2 cranks the jar holding the fuel was half full, so it cant be fuel starvation? its had a new mass, plugs, leads, coils, are ok, ive diconnected the temp sensor , comes up with the code fault, a bad cps would throw a code as well, but thats my next move,
ive also cleaned the throttle valve and its ok, hoses ok no leaks etec, etc,
am i missing something?
since this last post ive fitted a new cps, and a new coolent temp sensor, still the same fault, what am i missing?

Thanks but the fault was there when the weather wasnt as cold? ive this problem for months?

the weather might not have been cold, but the engine is cold. worth a try at least if you have not already done it.
