COMAND 2.0 - help! Faults occuring!

Hi all!

I have a COMAND 2.0 unit thats working fine...that is of course until you put a CD in! It reads it fine, but won't eject! Its got a sticky mechanism, and I wondered if anybody had a dead COMAND or something (Steve-BCS) that could breath a new lease of life into this one. Its a W210 model Comand unit, and in very good condition for what I bought it for

The good thing is the mecahnism is trying to work, but seems not to eject the CD so any help most appreciated. thanks all!

...accumulated dust on the rubber roller that is suposed to roll the disc out...common problem with comands...easy to clean...

My faulty comand has a new home now - sorry. If you dont mind taking your comand to bits - carefully, the cd mechanism is easy to get to as steve K says. REmove the top cover & the Cd mechanism is below , you mayhave to undo a few screws to remove it to make cleaning easier. but its fairly straightforward.

what do you think? if is all goes tits up, we can call it HOW NOT TO....! or even HOW to Destroy Your COMAND!
