Picked up a C270 facelift today, very pleased with the car. I have a comand APS, which has Bluetooth (as a function of comand not a phone cradle). my question is Why? and what can it do?

I can conect my phone but thats it, I can't make it do anything i.e. opperate the phone or transfer phone numbers from my address book. So why is Bluetooth on comand?

Sorry if this has previously been listed i did look before posting.

Thanks

I have not heard of a Bluetooth comand.
AFAIK there isnt a bluetooth comand, but I may be wrong.
Maybe its an after market bluetooth installed in the car.

Maybe Alfie can put some light onto this.

Alex.

As far as I know its the original Comand with no extra's. The manual tells you how to conect to comand via Bluetooth but not why.

The bluetooth on command is simply their for attaching a headset, as you may know if you have phone prep built in and you decide to take a call but decide to take it on an individual basis so that your passenger cant hear the phone call you can pair a bluetooth headset and still carry on talking, hope this clarifies

Mebs has answered this correctly. It is present on pretty much every Comand APS I've seen but I've never ever used it or bothered with it.

I supose the only way to get Bluetooth working is to purchase the phone cradle thing. Not sure which one tho, or maybe just buy another phone/sim card/cradle to leave in the car and put my other moble on divert, could be cheeper than going for Bluetooth.

The bluetooth cradle option works well but make sure you get the right cradle for your phone. The best part about it is that you dont have to plug the phone in and out when you get in and out of the car.

Does the blue tooth cradle work with Blackberry 8800?
