Comand DVD / TV function

I have Comand Sat Nav for my 55 plate CLK but I have no DVD or TV function.

Can you get this added at a later date or does it require a full upgrade?

You can get it added but it wont be cheap!

It means that there are companies out there who can add a TV tuner to your comand for you and also enable DVD playback. The OEM tuners are not cheap, circa £700 from memory. The labour to install it and then program your comand to accept it will not be cheap either. I would estimate the whole lot is going to cost you circa £1500.

Try sending a PM to Miro and ask him what he will charge to do it for you when he comes over in july.

Good guess. I seem to recall Braybrooks quoted me about that sum to have the TV Tuner added - and it wasn't a digital one either.

I figured next time order it OEM !

Not knowing what a 55 plate is I can say that any 2005 specification model can have digital TV (and later models). Have done just that myself.

It's the 2006 specification model so should be ok I guess.

Sorry bit ignorant here but anyone know any decent suppliers / fitters? I presume MB will be the best option but not the most cost effective.

1/ Order a kit from MBENZNL now ([email protected])
- tuner
- antenna system (oem)
- wiring as needed
- bracket
- screws / clips

2/ Have it installed in July by yours truly

Timing is the only thing .... July 5 - July 10
