Comand knob

The right hand knob on my comand has become rather " manky" and i would like to replace it

My local MB dealer says that you cant just get the knob...his solution isto change the entire unit at £3500!

Thats just plain stupid

Anyone know if you can get the knob and how to replace it? does it just pull off? (obvioulsly I dont want to try this if it breaks!)

hmmm.. and that image came from where

The knobs are changeable but you need to remove the comand unit. Remove the front panel, dismantle the front panel, change the knob and re-assemble.

Some people have pulled them off and successfully pushed replacements on. I wouldnt recommend that.
