I have 2013 E Class Cabriolet with COMAND ntg 4.5. I'm having trouble importing routes into COMAND from google maps (see other thread). As well as the .gpx files which COMAND is only recognising 6 out of 8 of them, there are KML files which turn out to be the routes overlaid onto Google Earth.
I could go back to Google Maps & re-create the routes to store on my phone - can I get the phone to talk to COMAND though? Is there another way to get COMAND to display the Google Earth images?
One way I thought may be possible is via the internet but I'm buggered if I can work out how to share my phone internet with the car either by bluetooth tethering or by creating a hotspot.
Half the problem is that I'm an idiot as far as this technology is concerned. Is there an idiots guide?
