Hi All,
I have been scouring ebay for the last 5 months waiting for the right NTG 2.5 R171 Comand unit to come up.
Yesterday morning the right unit (with 6 CD changer integrated) at the right price appeared, "buy it now" and it arrived this evening.
My R171 is MY2009, so already has the NTG 2.5 Audio 20 CD Unit with integrated bluetooth telephony.
I was hoping/expecting it to be complete plug and play, and it was , with only the addition of a GPS antenna required. Seriously this was a very straightforward job, and done in an hour more or less.
I just need to get the cluster coded and VEDOK updated for sensible money now, but all is working apart from navigation in the cluster, and I can live with that for a while.
Reversing camera maybe next
PS i know no satellites are showing, at this point i had not connected the GPS antenna.
