Morning all, been away for a while yet have left a deposit on a 65 plate E63 AMG yesterday with a view to collect it next Friday. Was meant to get one before Christmas but the Independent dealer U turned on my trade in against my A45 so walked away. Taken months to find another of interest.

Was wondering if any one has the options PDF, just wanted to check some bits, looks to have the drivers package due to the front grill and has dynamic seats.

Can't wait!

Must be a 212 on a 65 plate surely. 213 came out at the end of 16 as a 17 model year car....IIRC!

So finally picked up the car this morning. Firstly was dubious that the car was not through a main dealer, however after arriving and seing it was a Jardine Jaguar Land Rover main dealer it settled the nerves. Car was as described, couple of small marks here and there yet for an almost 8 year old car what can you expect and nothing that can't be addressed in time.

First thing was a welcome, coffee and handed the keys to go look around the car (from cold as requested) and go on a solo test drive which is a welcome break, rather than the rep take you on thier 10 min set out route out of and back to the dealer.

Prior to setting off all electrics checked, windows, pan roof, boot release, mirrors, heated and cooled seats, massage seats and dynamic enabled so time to pull away. No creaks, cracks from the Pan Roof or suspension and off on to the dual caridgeways around Milton Keynes. Suspension modes checked and all appeared to work, next the sports settings, comfort tick so sport, then sport + and finally manual...... No signs of miss fire and All I can say is what a car, prompt gear changes, downshifts are childishly enjoyable, and I won't miss the SQ5 Plus it replaces.

As the dealer had miss placed the key and has ordered at thier cost two new replacements (missing key turned up) they filled the tank up so a free tank of fuel and due to it requiring a service, which has been carried out the car also needed two front tyres and both front and rear disks and pads too, so they took care of that as well.

Thanks to all those who've offered help and guidance so far and for all those who've posted threads re buyers tips, guides, options etc which I've been reading over the last few weeks.

I'll pop some pictures up once I've detailed it a little yet for now it's off to enjoy the new purchase

I have to commend the dealership in the service and I've bought too many cars that I'd care to remember over the years and this is the first one that's sold the car with a full tank of fuel

Yeah the plan is to run it this week and get the snow foam out next weekend. Will pop some pictures up once it's done
