For those who fancy extending there ICE functionality, I can recommend the above combinations of products. The Dension allows you to integrate the IPOD and also a mass storage USB device into the Comand system, fully integrated. This shows track/album names etc.

The AVR unit does a number of jobs: It takes a set of inputs (IPOD video, AV1, AV2) and then allows you to redistribute them around the car. For instance I have a second screen int he back of the car, and I can route an IPOD Video to the rear screens, which listening to music in the front. The rear screen has wirless radio (Infra red) so daughter happy! You can obviously also route the video into the Comand as well using the Video button. Not sure why but I did not need any star recoding to make this work.

The AVR unit is controlled via a teletext page. This works better than it sounds.

Installation is not to bad in my R-Class as there is lots of spare space in the dash, although as per my previous post I managed to blow a fuse which took me a heart stopping few hours to figure out.

Dension also provide a indexing tool for your harddisk, as i have a 22 gigs worth of music on the harddisk.

Only grip is the user manuals which are a little light to say the least!

Anyway, any questions give me a shout.

Rob.
