What use is Sat Nav if it doesn't pick up satellites!

It's hard to say as my Comand drops satelites all the time, when you go under an overpass, lots of trees, shadow of a tall building. Same thing with my satelite radio, it's never 100%. That's why the factory systems are great since they keep going using gyros and speed sensors to know where you are at. The problem is that you don't know if there's something really wrong or user error. Also, 500 quid, that's about what I paid for my Comand used ($900 US) for one without problems so why take a risk at that price.
