Hi all

Over the last week or two I've been getting fairly heavy overnight condensation in my '05 E Class, towards the rear. Have had nothing damp in the car, its gets a run every day, and neither my BM nor Mrs TDE1's corsa gets it during the same weather, so doubt it's atmospherics. :dk:

There are no obvious leaks, and it may be normal, but didn't expect it on such a well insulated car.

Could I be missing something, or is it just another quirk?

(Sorry, its a boring question, I know!!)

Any suggestions v gratefully received.

Overnight internal condensation can only be the result of water inside the car. Have a look around for any water under the carpets but also check the air intake hasn't become obscured with wet leaves as that will cause condensation.

Is the car getting run long enough to get fully hot and aired?

Sounds like the pollen filter needs changing?
Will check history. Had last MB service last month, so would have hoped they would have done what was needed, given the price!!

Thanks for advice!

Use the air con. It acts as a dehumidifier

Check your mats, today I found a bg wet patch on my drivers mat due to snow from my shoes, long shot but it won't dry at the moment

About 45 mins a day, heaters on full. Thanks, will check intakes!

Cheers for the reply
