Any idea why a cookie wouldn't be stored on my 'puter? Every time I come onto the forum for the last couple of days, it doesn't recognise me and I have to log in manually. As soon as I move from one sub-forum to another, same thing.

Not a show-stopper but annoying.. the problem seems to be specific to MBClub, as all the other forums I frequent seem to work as normal?

OSX 10.4 and Firefox 3.5.6, for fans of specifics..

Cheers,

Gaz

Mine too for some reason......never happened before...... has something here changed?

Glad it's not just me!

Cheers,

I'm having to log in each time too - firefox 3.5

Me too (Firefox).

Deleting cookies before logging on (as per other thread) solved it on Firefox for me

Is this a one off event - deleting cookies - or do you have to do it each time?

What I'd like to know is why do I have the eBay logo in the address bar before the url for this forum?

the logo is actually stored as a favicon.ico file - usually it's replaced when you visit new websites.
Try this
http://www.mbclub.co.uk/favicon.ico
- and if it still shows as the ebay icon when it loads - press CTRL-R which forces a refresh.

Tried clearing cookies (several times) but I'm still having to log in every time - anything else to try?

I had this problem too.

If you are using IE8 and MB Club is a favorite, you have to untick Preserve Favorites website data (and tick Cookies) when running Delete Browsing History. Of course, this gets rid of all cookies for all websites, which probably means you need to log on again everywhere.

It works fine now for me.

- and me. Found the MBClub cookie, deleted it and all is well again.

No, I still can't get it.
Tried deleting from Firefox bookmarks
Tried deleting cookies
Strange thing though - I am the only "user" on my computer. When searching for cookies I found one folder under all users and one under my name. Both folders have in them an "index" which strangely shows up as a "video" which of course will not play.
I was able to delete the "video" in the all users cookies file but I am not allowed to delete the "video" in my cookies file as it "is in use".

Where are you looking for the cookies?

On FireFox V3.x, go to Tools, then Options, then Privacy. Then in the middle of the window there's a link to "remove individual cookies". Click on that and scroll to the MBClub cookie folder. I deleted the whole folder.

Cheers Rory
I've been going to "control panel" - "internet options" and deleting cookies there.
I didn't realise that they were in the firefox tools section.
There are hundreds there! I shall have to spend some time going through them all now.
Thanks for your help - I'm now logging on ok.
