Mercedes ML320
Hello forum,

My first post here.

Just got a 2002 petrol ML320. Very low mileage, great condition, nice vehicle, thus far, although a few bits and pieces have gone twang inside. Anyhow.

Just spotted he engine coolant level is around an inch below the line when the engine has done 10 miles. I think if anything it should be above the line, really, at this stage.

So, should I put more coolant in I guess - and here's the main question - Is there any particular brand, or just any old one from the garage?

The car has been well looked after and regularly serviced by the guy who had it from new before me.

Thanks for any help.

When cold the coolant should be on the line. As it gets hot and the rubber hoses expand th elevel will drop.

Get the MB coolant from MB. It is the best.

Thanks for that. In the manual it says the level will rise by 1 - 1.5cm at normal operating temperature, but maybe as it's such an old car the hoses have expanded a bit.
