can anyone help.
after a quick look into my cooling fan not kicking in i have diagnosed the temp switch to be at fault.
all posts on here and the trusty haynes manual state the switch has 2 wires.
when these wires are bridged the clutch engages so im in the right place, but. heres the point i have a 3rd green wire on the switch in a seperate round plug next to the 2 black and red wires in the rectangle plug.
this has about 8v running through it.
i cant seem to find any info as to what this wire is.
before i change the switch i would like to find out where it goes and its purpose.
8v seems too low so wondering if there is something else in the system that may trigger the switch.
car is a 1990 230ce, no aircon..
any help would be good.
thanks.
