Hi,

Just wondered if anyone can recommend, or knows, a good valeter who can do the inside and outside by next Thursday?

I guess would need to be in the Berks/Bucks area or mobile.

Many Thanks!!

Matt

On a serious note I'm good a valeting cleaning cars BUT b@stard hose pipe ban is bit a problem at moment as having to get up 5AM to do it before neigbours are up. You could pop it down to mine and I'd do it for nothing...

i'm gettin my car done at the moment by a mobile valeter - he does everything - full valet is £50 engine steam clean - t-cut - inside leather washed - polished, carpets washed - roof lining washed ......... loads of others as well.............but he has other options u can add / take away starting from £10.00 upwards - his name is Adam - i've just spoken to him and he does cover Berks/Bucks area - his number is 07981 842 017.

Hes expecting ur call

Thanks

Hi Nav

could you pop outside and ask him how much just for an engine steam clean ?

I prefer to clean the rest of the car myself , but i am in need of an engine bay clean as it is a disgrace ...

cheers mate

Maff,

Give Kingsley a call @ http://www.cleanmycar.com - 07939 220 850. He's mobile and I expect would come to you.

You won't be dissapointed if he does the job.

I was actually thinking of inviting him to the GTG next month, but not sure if the event is going to be big enough.

I'll drop him a line H and come back to you soon - hes left for the day - i was outside paying him and jus got back to my desk to see your post..

Thanks

Nav

Is this the guy who was featured on Fifth Gear the other week? If it is he looked to be mightily impressive.

peter - sorry no idea as i didnt see the show. everybody that i 'know' who've used him say they are astounded by the results - even those who take great care in detailing their car.

reading his web-site, the lenghts he goes to are pretty amazing - although i think it is getting a bit anal at some points - you do have to drive the things as well.

It is a pain, isn't it. Especially when you live on a main road like we do. We have a local East European hand car wash, who are good but I miss not being able to do it myself. :(

I would NEVER NEVER steam clean the engine compartment of any car. SORRY risk of screwing the electrics just too great, especially if your not doing it yourself!! And for MAFF from What Car Site.
Aston Martin is writing to the 131 owners of the new V8 Vantage coupe because they might be struggling to get the car to start. The manufacturer says an electrical fault can cause wires to melt, brake lights to come on and make the model difficult to start. Cars built between May 23, 2005 and October 10, 2005 are subject to the recall.

I've found that the garage at the end of my road has a self-service jet wash thing (with buttons to select wheel cleaner/foam/high pressue/wax rinse/spot free rinse etc.) ... at least no worries about scratching the paintwork.

I'm with grober, never steam clean an engine bay, having had first hand experience of screwed up electrics

Maff - did u get hold of Adam...... the guy whose number i suggested....

Is there no water shortage at 5am then or is that just it doesn't apply if you get up early?

I really hope that one of your neighbours is an early riser.

For what it's worth, I really hope none of Flash's neighbours is the kind of 'person' to report him for washing his car. :)

I have used Paul - He did my E Class. Cost about £500 quid and took him the best part of a day. However you can see the result - I posted it on this forum http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=90286&postcount=11 and yep its my avatar too.
