What controls how long the courtesy light stays on? It works fine from the passenger door but is random from the drivers door, stays on sometimes, sometimes not and how long it does stay on is totally random.

Also the light at the bottom of the drivers door doesn't work. The bulb is fine it just doesn't seem to get any power. Could the two be linked? Faulty drivers door pin? Have I just answered my own question? :D

Thanks,

Stu

Supposed to be 15 seconds i think. I guess it might be that drivers door pin, quite likely really. Havent changed one of those but cant imagine its hard. Have you got spares?

Concur about the pin - check out the seatbelt warning light - is it intermittent too - next to the sunroof switches.
Could be one of the wires leading up to the pin shorting out sometimes too.

Just a quick update. Many thanks for the tips and info:thumb:

I took the door pin out, very easy to do, simply clips in top and bottom. Removed and replace the connectors wiggled the wires a few times and the problem was fixed:D

So I think it was probably a dirty connection on the switch.

Just need to sort out the central locking next!
