Cracked screen

Hi guys I've had my windscreen smashed and auto glass are on there way to replace it Tuesday but was wondering if anyone knows what parts they remove from the car to cut out the screen as I wanted to remove them myself as I don't trust them, I have a 2006 w203 coupe, thanks for your help

With all due respect, if you don't trust them to remove parts, why would you trust them to replace them?

Because I need the screen replaced and I can't replace it but I can remove parts without damaging them

Autoglass did the screen on my wife's W210 E430 in Bradford.
Having had a baaaaaaaaad experience with RAC windscreens on the old W126, I stayed with the fitter as he started stripping out the necessary parts.
I couldn't fault the guy.

That's restored some faith in them, I'm definately going to stay with them while they do the job, but still tempted to remove any parts I can if I can find out what they remove

I wouldn't worry about removing parts for them, they'll have better tools for it, will probably be better at and are being paid to do it.
All that said, I've heard good and bad about their windscreen jobs, they may be OK but I would certainly be watching everything they do.
