I have regular semi electric front seats which have started creaking - the best I can guess that it is the seat springs themselves, but wondered if this was likely.

Any ideas/suggestions as to whether my hunch is right, and either what the fix could be, or what real cause is?

There are fixes for this but too late tonight to look it up

just the first 6 vin numbers please,, you may have to remind me tomorrow to look

Thank goodness for that, I thought that it was due to my large rump.(no comments please). I await the response

I thought that might have been my problem too! More adequate than large though please.

I had a small spring creak in mine too...I adjusted the seat very slightly and it stopped. (FYI I'm only 11.5 stone) :o Can't speak for the previous owner

Hi television,

I have had the same problem on my face lift c sport coupe build date April/May 2004, but the dealers have looked at it ,its stopped creaking at the moment but the seat sqaub has started to move left to right and back again whilst cornering?

Do have any info on the original problem and now the side to side movement, so that I can try to work out what to do.

I have looked under the seat and have noticed the the seat squab moves slightly on the top bar which has two plastic brackets holding it on. The bar is covered with grease.

regards

Springer
