Who ever invented the cup holders in my E Class?

They are pants, nothing seems to fit and the little Spring gripper things don't work.

Anything in them rolls around and even jumps out.

Even the Mercedes travel mug does not fit.

Love the car all the same.

Buy a roll of electrical insulation and wrap it around your mug/cup until it is thick enough to be supported by the cup holder. Works a treat for all those loose fittings.

Actually, electrical insulation tape had unlimited uses.

I'm not even sure if my 211 has them! Can't say I've ever wanted/needed cup holders in my car, as food and drink are banned!

I've never understood this obsession with cupholders..

It seems quite rational-sounding people will refuse to buy a car without them or worse buy another car they don't like just because it has them.

Why would you ever want something in the car that encourages you to slow down and not sling it around corners ?

That's what the wife's for.
