I always use one of those knee pad table things. I think that sitting it on your knee or cushion will cause laptops to overheat as the airflow is restricted. And as someone else said it's a good idea to blast clean every now and then with a tin of compressed air.

If you used a can of compressed air, ensure the laptop is off and disconnected. Sometimes the propellant comes out and would not be good if the laptop had power.

They also last all of 1 minute so the duster I put in a link to is better in both respects.

Am I the only one that finds it irritating that someone creates a thread, asks for help/opinions, gets lots of replies/suggestions but then dissapears ?
