Any Mercedes dealership should be able to confirm from your reg. no and/or chassis no. whether your car is on the list to receive a free replacement of the affected parts. Above, it says that some S Class 222 and 223 models are affected. You could start by checking the UK Government's DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency) Check if a vehicle, part or accessory has been recalled although it is not 100% reliable because it said that my car had no recalls when I had already received a letter from Mercedes. But if yours is on there, you have your proof. My letter said to contact any dealer, quoting recall reference no. SRPC2157. It adds, if you have any queries after contacting your dealer, email [email protected] Mercedes' UK phone no is +44 (0) 1908 245000Can you please advise me in which garage have you been? I will try to give them a ring.the costumer services in Coventry are not really good. How can I get in contact with you? Please help me. I'm new here

My car was just over 4 years old when I bought it and the letter arrived a month later. Yet it was fixed for free by Mercedes of Tonbridge (tel 01732 771761), so yours should be also.
I suggest telling any Mercedes dealer wherever you are that even if you haven't yet received a warning letter, your vehicle is in the likely category to be affected by this. Good luck.
