Damaged 19" Alloy?

I hit a pothole last week and the day after the tyre warning light came on. I topped up the air and again a day later the warning came on. I'm hoping that it's the tyre that's damaged but I've got a niggling thought that the alloy is damaged and will need replacing.

Any idea how much a new alloy is? It's the front wheel on a 2013 E Class Cab. I opted for the 19" wheels when I ordered the car.

I'm going down to a tyre centre later to get them to take a look.

Depending on the damage I would get it welded just recently had mine done after finding the crack after removing the tyre to replace the sensor. It was just a local guy who picked it up from the tyre place within fifteen minutes and it was back again repaired within another hour he even took pics of the process as I was concerned how good strong it would be after the repair he stated that he had done inexcess of 250 the previous years and had only 2 come back.
I can let you know the guys number if you can't find anyone local to you if it's any help

I'm Bristol based and had a look to see if there is anywhere local to mend it. I went to Kwik Fit and there is damage to the inside rim of the wheel, a flat spot that has compromised the tyre wall seal. They put my spare on and suggested I go to the dealer to buy a new one. He did mention that I couldn't mend it as it wouldn't then be covered by warranty.

Quite annoyed as the tyre is relatively new. But, I scuffed the alloy in December and having a new one would mean that problem is sorted. I'm thinking £500 ish?

The Highways Dept (Council) take 12 months or so to reply, investigate & then pay out. They'll send you a huge dossier on evidence they 'rely' on to try & deter you from claiming. Don't let it.

Send pics of wheel, pothole.... e mail them & report it & ask for a new wheel.

I've claimed & been paid out three time over the last 10 years, last being 2011 for a W204 C350 with 18 AMG Wheels.
