Still learning and loving more about my new (to me) C220.
I recently parked opposite a big wall at night and for the first time noticed that when I switch on, the headlight beam seems to move to the left, then the right before settling down. I have checked the manual and can't find any info on this. I'd appreciate any input please?

As Ash says above.

IIRC, my VX Omega xenon lights used to go up/down on start up.

Up down, left and right is adaptive headlights. Regular xenons just do the up down, but not side to side.

The adaptive ones bend when you go round corners etc. I had these in my zafira VXR and they were quite cool tbh.

Same thing happens when you put both the front and rear fogs on.

As above. My Xenons go down, then up (gigitty) on start up.

Those with adaptive, go left to right too. It's just calibration.

Personally think it's cool. Love the way the Xenon arc lamps start. Boomph. Halogen just glow up like an old torch powered by them massive 6v batteries with springs on top.

Agreed, really cool. I have the adaptive lights and I enjoy watching them every time.
