Dashcam in 2011 CLS

Has anyone fitted a dashcam to their CLS? This isn't about what dashcam, I have hard wired/used them before. But where do you connect to a switched live?

Any tips appreciated before I start ripping the car apart

I have one in my 2013 CLS.

I simply ran a long micro usb power cable all the way around the edge of the windscreen then down the door pillar into the passenger footwell (all hidden from view) then under the seat and up into the centre console, plugging it into the switched usb.

This way it's all hidden but easily removable and no impact on warranty.
