Davenport Motor Company

Probably not... but his voice was pretty shaken in the video... and having two cars blocking you in on the road is OTT in just about any scenario...

Is this..

Who allegedly threatened to smash a customers jaw ?

Unleash the power of the internets (and all that) :thumb:

I bet he hasnt told the full story...
Strange how the video started with the 'aggressor' reversing to let him out? And if he was so scared, why sit there for a minute videoing them?:dk:
He doth protest too much...

All seems a bit fishy to me....

What I can't understand is he went all that way to look at an MG expecting everything to work.

I think the list of faults was quite short for an MG to be honest :D

i personally think the main fault being that it was an MG

Don't blame the poor guy..... perhaps he's dyslexic, and he thought he was going to see an MB :wallbash:

me too...

All things that can be sorted easily though... I bet his attitude got up the owners nose... not an excuse but 'know it all's' can be annoying...

Agreed, I get them all the time in my trade, done a bit of research online, got a few facts and figures to hand ready to throw at you. The internet has a lot to answer for!

All seems a bit OTT to me . If he wants to deal with nice people he should buy a Merc . To be honest , nobody likes smart*rse buyers , and there was probably something about his demeanour that wound them up.That said, no need for threatening behaviour , and i am sure their reputation will soon get around - its already travelled to another forum !

Read this earlier and I do agree, he might well have come over quite irritating. That said, once he's outside then really no need for blocking him in etc so rightly named and shamed.

What I do like about this is similar to the comment above - power of the internet and all that. Brilliant tactic for Google ranking (which we are helping by linking to it).

Still, his demeanor on the forum seems quite level headed and they will know about the thread but haven't said any of it is lies so it only leaves people one real conclusion.

It really seems strange how they are all determined to get their thread up in google search for the companies name.

Suspicious.

Jay, as a trader you must be wary of nutters with a grudge. I can't say I blame you at all. To agree that DMC are rubbish would put you in the invidious position of any competitor slagging off the opposition. Obviously a very dim thing to do. But why would anyone bother to go to such lengths as an eight hour drive and looking at an MG if they were looking for a fight, Saturday night in any market town would work just as well?

**I know the story is one sided but the customer can't always be wrong.

** I think I may be teasing you here.

I think i know of them and if it's who I think it is the story could well be accurate.

Someone on another forum said he used to live down the road from them and no one in a 50 mile radius would buy a 2nd hand pogo stick off them let alone a car. He's not surprised to see them advertising on the web and things like this happening.
