Different systems and sizes here John http://www.cleaningspot.co.uk/acatalog/De-Ionising_resin_and_water_softener_resin.html . Personally I'd go with the 25lt and a bag of resin, that should last a while. Could be tax deductable if your using it for cleaning your properties windows!

Reading CB's positive post was the final nudge I needed - it's on the way now, complete with TDS3 hand held meter. I'm expecting big things - I spend more time drying (and potentially scratching) than washing.
