Diagnostics help please

Hello, I’m new here want to ask if there is any software tool that can erase an active bonnet malfunction. If so can anyone assist?

the carsoft 980 I have won’t touch it, but it tells me right side squib has open circuit. i took the part off and found broken wires soldered together thinking end of problem. But to no avail.

Welome,I think you will find that the problem is the actuators under the bonnet hinges have failed,when you get open circuit it normally means that it or they will need replacing,I have never had the problem on a mercedes but I have knowledge of Hyundai ,it might be possible to reset the actuator,I am sure a member with Mercedes knowledge of the actuators will be able to help more.

Have a search on youe tube for Phils salvage rebuilds. He had a 2013 C204 merc and had this problem, he solved it but I cant remeber how. It was in one of his videos. But you can also message him through youtube he is quite good a replying.
