A bit disillusioned with Icarsoft, too many advertised functions are only partly written so don't really work. Promised updates to full functionality never appear.
Looking for a better alternative, Topdon, Launch etc seem to promise more for less money. Ideally would like something with bluetooth for ease, any suggestions that don't break the bank?

Something like this?

It currently has a voucher on for £84 off on Amazon or cheaper on eBay.

Well I have the TOPDON ArtiDiag800 which is wireless and has free updates for life I think I payed £160,I watch CAR UK on You Tube and he had a promo code so got about 20% of it, there are a few videos on it on You Tube.

I have an Icarsoft V2 with 10 manufacturers coverage and lifetime updates free,

Its OK, but updates seem to have stopped and it is a bit clunky

so i tried the Autel LD710, (JLR Only in my case but there is a merc version).. which is great for what it cost, ........and also now a Foxwell NT710 (needed more than just JLR) and that is impressive too.

The Foxwell is a good piece of kit if you need multi vehicle support.. only one manufacturer is free and additions are $60 each but all three hit my No1 criteria of no annual cost for upgrades which is a bit of a bugbear for me .

I like the look of the Launch stuff, but the annual fee puts me off

Ok so Car UK on you tube will be running the TopDon offers on the 18th December its 20% off and you use their link to the ebay site

Getting the Topdon Artidiag 900 lite delivered today, £30 off voucher on eBay. Looks to be a lot better than the Icarsoft.

What were you looking to do that icarsoft can’t do buddy ? I’ve still got the older MB2 but at some point I’ll need a newer one .

Very Timely thread , I gave my MBiCarsoft 2 away and Christmas is coming and I am looking for a replacement that works on more than just MB's.

It doesn't do anything with TPMS for example, but the main thing is I have faults on blind spot assist, pre safe and collision avoidance. I suspect the rear radar unit but Icarsoft is not able to communicate with any of them.

How does it compare , because the cr pro I bought with all makes , is a chocolate fireguard for my glc350 . The wife's Corsa f isn't even on there after updating it .

Is this MB II or MB v2.0? Also, I assume you've downloaded the latest software?

Night and day, still getting used to it but so many features Icarsoft doesn't have. Auto detects car vin, no searching for exact model etc, connects to car with Bluetooth and updates through WiFi. Comes up with a code, then connects to Internet to give info or explanation of what that code means etc. No complaints so far.
