Diesel in engine oil?

Would enough unburnt fuel from a regen go to the sump to make a difference?
When my car regens you cannot tell, maybe the only sign is a tinking sound coming from the exhaust due to the extra heat.
Could the OP’s problem be a faulty injector ?
Yes, if regen is on all time or every 100km.... there has been cars which alerts high oil level due this. If there is 1L fuel in 6L oil capacity, it definitely deteriorate lubrication.

Yes of course it can be just injector peeing too, usually that will be heard as a knocking sound and often burns piston pretty quickly.

Steve Garlic, now known as Stevensons, has been well known and respected as an MB specialist for decades, used to be over just off 7 Mile Lane before moving to current premises some years ago - but he's a lot further from Ashford than the 2 I mentioned!
I take my s212 E350 and my wife's GLA to Stevensons at Larkfield. Absolutely excellent and they will lend you a car whilst yours is in by prior arrangement
I spoke with Steve this morning. He'll do a diag for me next Friday. Thanks for the help guys! I'll let you know what we found. Hopefully it won't be too expensive finding... 🫣

Finally the weather let me carry out the leak off test today. It seems like the 1st injector pumped out less fuel than the others. I ran the engine for 4 mins. It contained 15 secs 3500 rpm run twice. Rest if the time was idle.

difference is within range (20% IIRC)
Ohh, I didn't know that the tolerance is that much. Thank you! Well, I think it will be Steve's honor to find out what's going on.

Dammanblasten ! I didn't mean to do that, how do I delete it
OP Glad you are going to Steve, he will look after you and you car.

Hope you get to the bottom of this. I can§t help thinking that a run of only 30 minutes can't help on a DPF equipped car though. I would have said you really need to take it on a proper run out to make sure the regen completes.

I have the basic Autel AP200 which shows the report for the last 20 (i think 20) regens.

Mine was failing a while back simply because the 12v battery was failing. New battery and it was sorted.
Hopefully your problems will be as simple.

Mine gets 55 MPG on a good run and 42ish around the doors.

I had a 2 x 2 hours run on motorway to aiport just at the begin of November when I started to use the car. Since I'm using the car as I explained before. 🤷‍♂️ We'll see at Friday. I'll let you all know what we found. I'll definitely buy some diag as I feel disabled without it. I had vcds for my VWs and that was a treasure to have. So the star for merc I guess.

Vfts, how did you get on?

Hi All,
So I had my appointment with Steve. I came home with a bit of mixed feelings. However I figured out the reason of the increased level of oil in the sump before I went to see him I thought it's good to check the car over with him. He was very busy. And that's where my mixed feelings come. He plugged the car on diag and red it but no error shown. He drove the car for 5 mins and that was it. Despite the oil drip test shows fuel is present in the oil he didn't dig in deeper what can be the reason of that. He found an engine mount worn which can be the source of the vibration but not the fuel on oil.

I came home with a bit of mixed feelings. However I figured out the reason of the increased level of oil in the sump before I went to see him (level is very different with hot and cold engine which wasn't really significant in my previous cars) I thought it's good to check the car over with him. He was very busy. He plugged the car on diag and red it but no error shown. He drove the car for 5 mins and that was it. ( he didn't read the dpf regen cycles etc) Despite the oil drip test shows fuel is present in the oil he didn't dig in deeper what can be the reason of that. He found an engine mount worn which can be the source of the vibration but not the fuel on oil. He was friendly and helpful but not really what I expected. He also quoted £700 for a replacement of the 2 engine mounts and a tranny mount which I think is very pricey. I mean the original parts cost about 250 quid and 450 labour? For roughly 1 hour work. 🤔 I'm working in aviation and hour labour cost £260 an hour. So I think I'll buy a diag for myself and I'll do my investigation myself.

Are you satisfied with the Autel diag? I like the idea that it's on the phone. I'm looking Autel, Topdon and icarsoft at the moment. But I can't really decide. Isn't it slow through Bluetooth? I have bad experience with clone Delphi which used to lock up if I used with BT. Some people complaining about icarsoft is playing up with mercs.

It’s very slow yes. It did the job.

I think if I decide to keep the car longer or indeed so as o think I may and get an SL400 I’ll get a STAR type package.
I have a smart Brabus also so seems to make sense

The dealer level stuff I have for the other cars is far better than the generic stuff

I have looked at LAUNCH etc of course but never pulled the trigger

The AP 200 although slow allowed me to fix a Supposed £700 to fix DPF issue when All the car needed was a new 12v battery , and sometime later a faulty exhaust pressure sensor that was causing a limp mode / no boost / no gear change.

Simon that sense it has very much done the job due to the live data and the DPF regen history
