Digital Service Book problem

Hi,

I am in the process of selling my C63 and buyers are looking for proof of the full Mercedes service history. Looking at the online DSB I can only see the 3 services that I did on the car since buying it used a few years ago. I dont know if this means that the car doesnt have full MB service history or just that I cannot see its history - if you know what I mean? I have tried to contact MB but they have so far ignored my emails and not returned my calls.

Can anyone help me with this?

Go to your local MB dealer with some form of ID plus the V5 and ask for a full print out of all of the MB history for the car.

Might have missed something here but if you've only serviced the car 3 times in the few years you've owned it I doubt that prospective buyers would regard that as full mb history anyway. May have misread your post theough.

This is a great point and something I had not even considered somehow. I definitely would have checked the service history on a car like this - and after a small search I found the printouts that the dealer had made from the DSB. Odd that they had the missing services on the DSB but I dont. Anyway, thanks v much

When I last checked my car's DSB online, it did indeed show all previous services, including those carried out before I bought the car. However, this was some time ago, and with all the current GDPR hysteria, I wouldn't be surprised if MB are now limiting the data available via Mercedes me to only those services carried out under the current owner. Hopefully, you can still get the full history from the dealer, otherwise it misses the whole point of having a DSB.

Yes, as you say the whole point is to show ALL.
In my case it only shows me the 3 services under my watch and excludes the 2 under the previous owners watch.
I guess it's either a GDPR issue or IT blunder

Hi, I had a similar issue and contacted Mercedes support who replied due to data protection rules they can only show services carried out under your ownership.

As others have suggested go speak with your main dealer reception or sales and providing they are not too busy they will print off details for you.
