A sumber of car clubs get discounts with a web based company called Needforspeed.co.uk.

You can see some of these companies at http://www.needforspeed.co.uk/pages/FAQs.htm And then follow the link onwards to see quite a selection of other clubs.

Now i'm not sure if your aware but they do a good range of stuff for Merc's, here's a link so you can see what they offer: http://www.needforspeed.co.uk/pages/sbv_v.asp?Type=1&Manufacturer=Mercedes&User=NFS

Everything from Suspension to exhuasts, brake pads, discs etc. I can think of a couple of things i would like to order from there and if they are prepared to give a discount for club members then its a good thing in my book!

So, what do you think? Could those in the know send them an email or something? What do others think?

Cheers

Nic

I presume they will want advertising in return and we are a banner free site. The other thing is members on here help each other. Jimmy runs a motor factor and getsmany of us parts and V12 works at Mercman and there are other people as well. I suspect 105 off at Need for Speed might end up dearer than you could pay some people on here. Ask around a bit before spending!

Ah thats fair enough. So who would i speak to about getting some H&R Cup Springs? I also want some top adjustable Koni dampers for the front of a 190E 2.5-16 and i'll probably be splashing out on an exhaust soon, possibly a Supersprint from downpipe back.

Cheers for your help

Nic

Need For Speed are very good, indeed they offer some good discounts, I am eligible for further discounts from them. The problem arises in the shipping charges from their suppliers to them, from them to me and then from me to you, the carriers and credit card companies must love it, good business for them.

I may be wrong but whenever I have tried to order from them they dont keep much stock and delivery can be 2-3 weeks, not much use to most people.

If you are after genuine parts the V12 (Ricky) is your first stop, if you are after top quality aftermarket, OE Spec parts then please give me a try. If you are wanting more specialised 'boy racer' or performance parts (not being rude) then you will find some good deals on the web if you are prepared to search.

Hop that helps,

That does indeed help Jimmy.

I want H&R Cup Springs with about a 30-40 mm drop for a 1991 190E 2.5-16 with SLS. I also need the bump stops/pads (whatever they are called lol!) to match, can you advise here? To go with that i would also like 2 front Koni top adjustables. Can you please quote with delivery charges.

That'll do for starters and we'll discuss exhausts afterwards.

Thanks,

Nic :)

Those can be bought from the stealership :)

Part numbers are almost definitely on this forum (201 part number for those items but they were also fitted to pre-1996 w202).

As an idea i've found Koni Sport Top Adjustables at motorsportworld for £125 each.
H&R Cup Springs with 40mm drop for £140 with motorsportworld.

If you can compete with those prices (of course i may find cheaper and i'll update above) Jimmy i'll order them through you :)

Cheers V12, can see he's got 1 bump spring pads front and rear with 40mm lowering. Is the dealers the best place to get these from?

Dealer would be the only place to get the spring pads.
