DIY wrapping, with photos.

Impressive stuff, I'm not sure I have the patience or determination to accomplish something like that. It looks OEM also.

just purchased a 2009 CLk and not mad about the black ash, would like carbon or aluminium, where can I purchase, please, thanks.

Re-did the top section as I wasn't happy with it. Now 100%.

The centre console is complete :-)

On to the doors if it ever stops raining!

Personally, I wouldn't have bothered with the plasticote on the hazard switch trim, chrome can have a place against carbon or black.

Overall, it looks excellent.

It looks very good indeed. I'm not a fan of plastic silver stuff in any merc.

I generally don't like carbon fibre stuff either but this looks outstanding.

I do like the look of that too. I did my car the same as the trim got scratched a lot. Like you I'm quite pleased with the look. :thumb:

The stuff I got was £2.50 off eBay.

Great job and looks like an OEM finish :thumb:

Looks great, may be having a go at this myself, will look awesome when the door card trims are done aswell.

What a star job...sparked my interect in doing the C220cdi coupe, should look stunning when done. The wife thinks I should first finish the engine rebuild on the E320cdi before I start and of course shes right.

Mine had this fitted already when I bought it (pics in gallery).

The only reason I suspect mine be professional is that it has silver trim I presume to hold the wrap in place.

However, I could tell in a couple of places it was a wrap and not from MB which I'd originally thought.

The DIY efforts on this thread are equally excellent.

Who wants plastic wood or plastic metal?

Women just don't understand Men and their projects, do they?

Inspirational! Very tempted to give this a go!

Update....

Took a door card off today. Removed the switchgear panel and that's come out very well. Looked like a MAJOR hassle to remove the silver trims, so did those in situ. There was (just) enough space around them to get a neat finish. Very happy with the results. Alas, now run out of bits of 3M long enough to do the other 3 door trims!

They look well executed.

I like the look.

Shame MB didn't offer it from new...
