I'm considering getting the E adjusted by DMS Automotive. They claim they can up the BHP from 202 to 250, and the Torque from 500 to about 605. As a result of the torque increase the fuel economy should improve by about 5% as well.

I have several Q's.....

1; Has anyone used them - are they any good ? (I know Matt has - would be curious to hear your experiences) They've also had some seriously good reviews in a number of magazines but usualy for BMW's.

2; Can MB detect the changes ? They state no, but if for some reason MB had to reload the Engine ECU with the default settings wouldn't this remove all the work ?

3; Does it affect any of the other systems ?

Thanks !

Hi saorbust..

Mambo has had his diseasel Beemer tuned by DMS to 335 bhp .....

Might be worth dropping him a line... he is very pleased with it .....

I had an Alpin box from Rob at DMS for my 220 CDi - excellent service and was simply disconnected when it went anywhere near the dealer.

Diesel?

I love what DMS did to my car, bhp went from 270 ish to 335. Torque went up from 560Nm to 690Nm. Needless to say I am very happy :D

They say it's non detectable (unless they compare two cars side by side :)) and as far as I know it does not affect anything else.

Never read a review on an MB, but as you say the motoring press love 'em.

Autocar really rated the conversion on the BMW 330Cd especially.
