I've seen a few Total garages with a new Excellium sign in my area.
Trouble is they only seem to sell the Excellium Unleaded.
I assume the Excellium Diesel is different to the standard Total Diesel ?

Haven't used that particular one, but have had good results with BP Optimax diesel fuel. I now only use BP for fuel, i used Esso first and lets say there's a noticable differernce now.

Agree.

I use BP Ultimate - and have always. Great stuff can really tell the difference.

However I know that Shell have just launched V-Power Diesel to widespread use in the UK (its rolling out now) - and having used this abroad I can say the difference is even better. Will be converting when the local garage starts stocking it....

Interesting thread - I really can't tell any difference in my car and I even bought several tankfulls of BP Ultimate after I read somewhere that it can take a while to have an effect. I also can't tell any difference if I use Millers Diesel Power Plus. I don't know whether the lack of any difference is a good or bad thing?

Yet a few years ago I ran a 2L turbo petrol Peugeot 406 and Shell Optimax made a *huge* difference to the responsiveness of the engine.

I had some excellent experiences with BP Ultimate, but on several occasions I've suspected that I've just paid a small fortune to put normal diesel in my car instead. This has put me off using it anymore :(.

When i had my car chipped i was told to use some sort of super diesel as i would notice an even better increase. as i'm abit sceptical i never bothered, used Esso as always. I filled up Optimax at BP by accident, and towards the end of the tank i could notice a difference. Might be pshycological but the car is smoother now.

It works out a few quid more expensive but i do get 20 miles more per tank.

Same here, but I found it to be hit and miss. I was just not convinced that what I had filled up with sometimes was actually BP Ultimate
