This and that.
Any ideas where I can get new door/window seals for my Coupe?

Without taking the old ones out, I don't know what profile or dimension they are.

TIA

Try searching foir a company called Forest-Fine. They have to be the gen MB ones.

IBW said that he could do mine as they are going to need replacing in the next year or so (they are starting to look worn but don't let any water in yet though).

Might be worth giving him a call at the 'Works.

Regards,

KJ

Originally I was told it was a professional-only job, but I've since been told it's definitely DIY.

Can I tackle it myself? (I've got opposable thumbs and the full complement of arms/hands/fingers).

It is a fiddly job. Make sure you have a can of silicone lube handy as it make life easier.

Sorry to post an answer based on my recollection, rather than having the hard facts at hand , but I got the door and window seals for one of my doors replaced on my previous car (140 chassis) by a dealer (b****** at MB Brentford :D). Now, this is years ago, but if I remember correctly the price for the seal was pretty low.

Yes, I've been to the company Nav referred to, and they're only £35-odd each.

I spoke to Forest-Fine, and they're actually £69.50 each.

He suggested he thought there was a metal clamping rail to hold the wedge-section rubber in place, but he wasn't certain. It's all beginning to sound a bit complicated.

I might bring the new seals to Jay's GTG and then stand around looking forlorn and helpless...

Try the dealer as FF is good but sometimes his postage prices mean you pay more than the dealer price..

I usually renew the clips whilst im there.. they do tend to either get rotten or lose their strength..

I don't supose anyone has any part numbers, do they?

The seals and the clip things

a1247200724 left
a1247200824 right

I assume its the seal that goes along the window and not the one around the actual door?

I cant see the clips, maybe yours doesnt have clips..

sorry thats the inside one, the outside ones are

A1247201124 and the same both sides... £25 each ;)

That was close! I nearly ordered them!

Are you sure about these numbers?

Forest Fine quoted me £69.50 each. Mercedes quoted me £52.88 each for the first numbers you gave me, and now you're saying they're £25?

well its the best i can do without your full vin, can you pm me that please?!

The first lot was for inside the glass..
