Evening all, first post here.
The driver's window on my 560 SEC (w126) has become very sluggish & fels like it may have 'come off the rails' as it clonks going up or down. Tonight it had to be helped to get back to the closed position. I need to remove the door card to investigate it further.
As I don't have a workshop manual can anyone give me quick, concise instructions to get the door card off?
Many thanks.

It's easy when you've done it once, but the hooks holding it to the door can break easily. The card is hung on the door not clipped. So once stuff is unscrewed it lifts upwards. The chrome interior door handle has a black plastic 'cup' behind it. Pop out carefully with small screwdriver. Little screw behind there to remove the black doorhandle surround. This then reveals the top armrest screw. The other armrest screws are obvious, there's some other fittings also obvious. And there's the puddle light in the bottom of the panel to disconnect.
Your window is an easy fix with another secondhand mechanism.
Watch those hooks when refitting cos if they snap off it increases creaks and rattles.

Thanks Ian,
Off out to try that now as the window is stuck half-way up (or down!)
